Policies and Procedures

Admission Policy and Procedure Policy.
It is the policy of the Butterflyz LLC to accept for placement clients with issues including developmentally disabled, alcohol and substance abuse, children in need of protection, delinquent or corrections, and various behavior and emotional problems, exceptional education requirements and youth who need to be prepared for independent living. The acceptance of placements shall be in accordance with 48.63 of the children’s code and 57.06 of HFS 57 (Group Home Foster Care for Children). Procedure Background information will be requested of referring agencies to determine the appropriateness of each placement. Client’s age, developmental level, and disabilities, history of law violations, schools attendance, physical violence, aggression, level of supervision required, etc. Supporting documentation will also be requested, including current permanency and treatment plans, court orders, social histories, psychiatric assessments, and physical exam results (including TB skin test results). Prior to placement, caretakers and appropriate social work staff shall review each potential resident. Clients presently placed in the group home shall be carefully considered each time a referral is presented. The safety and the well being of these clients shall take precedence over the placement of additional clients. Upon request a pre-placement visit can be conducted to better determine whether the referred child is appropriate for placement. Newly placed clients shall be informed of the group home policy and rules by the group home parents and Case Manager. New placements shall sign a non-negotiable agreement acknowledging their understanding of the group home rules. Quarterly meetings of the treatment team will be held to monitor treatment plans and assess continued appropriateness of placements. Clients will be evaluated informally on an ongoing basis. Significant events concerning the client will be relayed to the treatment team members on an ongoing basis. Butterflyz LLC operates strictly by each youth’s Plan of Care that has been developed by Wrap Around Program.

Supporting documentation will also be requested, including current permanency and treatment plans, court orders, social histories, psychiatric assessments, and physical exam results, (including TB skin test results).

Prior to placement, Home Away From Home Living Center and BYAC caretakers and appropriate social work staff shall review each potential resident.
